As part of the digital transformation process undertaken by the Ministry of Mines and Energy, resources from the IDB were utilised to contract the Information System for the Management of Projects, Contracts, Agreements, and PINES (contract GGC 495 of 2021). This project, led by the IT and DEE departments with input from operational areas, enabled the Supervisory Group to monitor and oversee projects through the AvanzaMe platform.

AvanzaMe is a tool designed for the effective management of high-priority projects, agreements, and contracts of the Ministry of Mines and Energy, as well as the National and Strategic Projects of the Mining and Energy Sector. It provides detailed monitoring of all operational components of energy and mining projects across the country, aiming to ensure transparency and visibility in their execution.

• Tracking and traceability of over 2,500 projects, facilitating the monitoring and timely execution of more than 4 trillion pesos.
• Enhanced regional outreach by monitoring over 500 municipalities, ensuring access to services for more than 7,000 people in remote areas.
• Information reports that previously took a month to deliver are now available instantly, including through a mobile app.
• Interoperability with two Ministry systems for document and contract management (ARGO and NEON), streamlining and optimising project monitoring processes.
